A new rain system will enter the country on Thursday, and it is expected that the heights in some areas will receive snow. Amin-Hossein Naghashineh, a meteorologist at the National Weather Organization, announced that today scattered rainfall is expected in North Khorasan, Golestan, Mazandaran, Gilan, Sistan and Baluchestan, and southern Kerman.
Extent of Rainfall and Atmospheric Changes
Naghashineh added: "Tomorrow, Wednesday, the rain system will gradually enter from the west of the country, and scattered rainfall will begin in the western provinces. On Friday, this rain system will strengthen, and the extent of rainfall will reach the southern slopes of the Alborz in the provinces of Qazvin, Alborz, Tehran, and the western shores of the Caspian Sea." He also emphasized that precipitation in the heights will be in the form of snow. On Friday, scattered rainfall is also predicted in the northwest, west, western shores of the Caspian Sea, and the heights of southeastern Iran.

Weather Warnings and Potential Hazards
The meteorological organization has also issued warnings regarding scattered rain, thunderstorms, strong winds, and dust storms in some areas. These warnings have been upgraded to orange level in North Khorasan, northern Razavi Khorasan, southern Kerman, Hormozgan, and northern Sistan and Baluchestan. The hazards of this warning include flooding, seasonal river overflow, waterlogging of roads, and disruption in transportation.
In Gilan, Mazandaran, Golestan, and other areas, a yellow warning has also been issued. These warnings include the possibility of rising river waters, runoff, and damage to agricultural products. In this context, the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz are also expected to be rough and turbulent, which could lead to problems for fishermen and small vessels.
Impact of Temperature Changes on Weather
Naghashineh stated that in the next 5 days, occasional wind increases are expected in Tehran, and today and tomorrow the sky in Tehran will be clear. Scattered rainfall is predicted in Tehran on Friday. The temperature fluctuations in Tehran will range between 15 and 23 degrees, with a maximum temperature of 22 degrees expected tomorrow.
The report from the National Weather Organization indicates that the average temperature in the country has increased by 2.3 degrees Celsius over the past week compared to the long-term average. The highest temperature increase was recorded in Golestan province with 4.4 degrees and Mazandaran province with 4.3 degrees. Meanwhile, South Khorasan province recorded the least temperature change with 1.1 degrees.
