The Deputy Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, Ali Bagheri, stated in an important remark that projects related to the transfer of gas from Russia to Iran and the establishment of the North-South corridor, as strategic plans, can eliminate the delusions of certain powers, including the United States, to pressure the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Economic Projects with Russia
Bagheri continued his explanations by highlighting the importance of these two projects, saying: "The transfer of gas from Russia to Iran and the North-South corridor not only helps develop Iran's economic infrastructure but also strengthens economic and political relations between the two countries." These projects can be seen as a practical solution to reduce Iran's dependence on other energy sources and to increase international cooperation with countries like Russia.

Strategic Consequences
This senior security official also noted that by implementing these projects, the Islamic Republic of Iran will have greater capabilities against economic and political pressures from the West. Bagheri stated in this regard: "These plans allow us to stand firm against threats and economic pressures and to pursue independent and effective policies in the international arena." He added that close cooperation with Russia could help create a stable and secure energy network in the region.
Bagheri also pointed out that these collaborations could contribute to energy security at the regional level and meet the energy needs of neighboring countries. Especially in the current conditions where there are increasing international tensions and economic challenges globally, such projects could be considered a turning point in the history of relations between Iran and Russia.
These projects are not only a tool for increasing economic and trade cooperation between the two countries but could also lead to strengthening Iran's national and economic security. Bagheri concluded by emphasizing that these plans, alongside other economic and infrastructural projects, could help Iran achieve sustainable and independent development.
