Today, Wednesday, October 8, 2026, the car market experienced an unprecedented price increase. On this day, the prices of domestic and assembled cars were significantly affected by fluctuations in currency and gold rates, and we witnessed a considerable rise. These developments indicate new challenges that buyers and stakeholders in this sector are facing.

Increase in Domestic Car Prices

On this day, all models of domestic cars faced price increases. The price of the Peugeot 207 manual panoramic, which increased by 120 million tomans to reach 2 billion 520 million tomans, recorded one of the highest increases. Additionally, the price of the dual-fuel Sorena Plus, which rose by 90 million tomans to 2 billion 510 million tomans, reflects the economic pressures on this market.

However, this was not the only price increase. The price of the Dena Plus manual 6 also rose by 102 million tomans to reach 2 billion 545 million tomans. Similarly, the price of the Tara manual zero also increased by 107 million tomans to reach 2 billion 430 million tomans. Meanwhile, Saipa was not exempt from this rule, and the price of the dual-fuel Saina increased by 63 million tomans to reach 1 billion 690 million tomans.

Increase in Assembled Car Prices

The market for assembled cars was also affected by these fluctuations. The price of the Lucano L8 zero increased by 370 million tomans to reach 11 billion 400 million tomans. Additionally, the price of the 7-seater Fidyliity Elite zero also increased by 200 million tomans to 6 billion 200 million tomans today. While the price of the KMC J7 rose by 300 million tomans to reach 6 billion tomans, the Tiggo 8 Pro Max also increased by 180 million tomans to 9 billion 500 million tomans.

These significant increases indicate existing concerns in the market and the negative impacts resulting from economic fluctuations. The price of gold exceeding 25 million tomans and the currency rate reaching 253 thousand tomans have severely affected market expectations. In this situation, political risks and inflationary expectations also fuel price increases, and this trend is expected to continue soon.

Considering that the currency rate is one of the key factors in securing the costs of parts and raw materials, its continuous increase can exert more pressure on car prices in the free market. Therefore, given the current conditions, there is a possibility of continued price increases in the coming days.
