The vehicle import system for Iranians residing abroad has been temporarily halted due to a technical disruption, and access to this section in the Mikhak system is not possible until further notice.

Announcement from the Consulate General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Dubai

The Consulate General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Dubai issued a statement announcing that the electronic platform of the Integrated Consular Services Management System known as Mikhak is generally operational and active, and the normal process of responding to applicants and various consular matters continues. The only specific section dedicated to the import of vehicles for Iranians residing abroad has been temporarily taken offline for users due to the implementation of technical updates and improvements to the system.

Impacts of this Disruption on Applicants

According to the latest news, applicants are currently unable to complete administrative steps, upload documents, or register or receive any tracking codes regarding vehicle transfers. However, other tools and active sections in the Mikhak portal continue to provide regular services without any decline in performance or interruption.

This agency has stated that only after implementing technical corrections and obtaining necessary approvals and coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will the exact time for restoring access and resuming services in this special section be announced.

It is recommended that compatriots and Iranian nationals residing in the United Arab Emirates refer only to official portals and information sources for updates regarding the performance and status of the Mikhak system and not pay attention to rumors and false claims.

This incident occurs at a time when Mehdi Torabi, assistant to the Governor of the Central Bank, criticized the method of vehicle transfers by Iranians residing abroad last week and questioned this mechanism. He stated that granting import privileges based on quotas has created a type of exclusive currency rent for specific groups of individuals.

Torabi also pointed out that importers of foreign vehicles convert all proceeds from sales into foreign currency assets after transferring the vehicles into Iran, thus removing them from the country's financial cycle.
