The National Weather Organization has issued an orange alert to residents of northern regions of the country, warning of rain showers, thunderstorms, strong winds, and other weather phenomena. These predictions include the provinces of Gilan, Mazandaran, Golestan, North Khorasan, and North Razavi Khorasan, and may pose serious risks including flooding and river overflow.

Risks Associated with Weather Conditions

Kobra Rafiei, an expert from the National Weather Organization, announced that heavy rainfall in these areas could lead to flooding, waterlogging of roads, and disruption of transportation. Additionally, there is a possibility of strong winds and the falling of old trees. Rafiei added: "Risks such as rockfalls and objects falling from heights, as well as damage to temporary structures and agricultural products, are also anticipated."

In other provinces, including the eastern half of East Azerbaijan, Ardabil, and northern Zanjan, rain showers and thunderstorms are also forecasted. The National Weather Organization plans to expect scattered rainfall in the southern heights of Sistan and Baluchestan and eastern Hormozgan from Sunday to Tuesday, especially in the afternoon hours.

Marine Warning and Temperature Increase

The Caspian Sea, eastern Oman Sea, and Persian Gulf are currently rough and turbulent. Therefore, the National Weather Organization has issued a yellow marine warning, which includes the risk of drowning for swimmers and damage to small boats. This situation is particularly concerning in the coastal areas and offshore regions of Gilan, Mazandaran, and Golestan provinces.

In Tehran, increasing cloud cover and the possibility of rain showers and thunderstorms are predicted. The temperature in the capital will fluctuate between 19 and 28 degrees Celsius. Rafiei announced that the trend of decreasing temperatures in Tehran will continue. Recent reports indicate that the average temperature in the country has increased by 2.6 degrees Celsius over the past week compared to the long-term average, with this temperature rise being more noticeable in provinces such as Yazd and South Khorasan.

Given these weather conditions, the National Weather Organization has urged residents in the affected areas to take necessary precautions and avoid unnecessary travel if possible. Additionally, farmers should pay closer attention to their crops to prevent potential damages.
