The National Meteorological Organization, by issuing an orange warning, reported on the intensity of rainfall and the possibility of flooding in 9 provinces. Fariba Goudarzi, an expert from this organization, announced that scattered rainfall, thunder, and strong winds in some areas could lead to hazards such as river overflow and waterlogging in the streets.

Areas Affected by Rainfall

According to forecasts, the intensity of rainfall will be in northern Qazvin, eastern Gilan highlands, northern Alborz, Ardabil, eastern Hormozgan, Kurdistan, Kermanshah, and northern East and West Azerbaijan. In these areas, there is also a possibility of dust storms and hail. Additionally, scattered rainfall is predicted in the provinces of Kerman, Hormozgan, eastern Fars, North Khorasan, and northern Razavi Khorasan, which will continue until early next week.

Other Warnings and Marine Forecast

In addition to the orange warning, the National Meteorological Organization also issued a yellow warning for various regions of the country such as West Azerbaijan, East Azerbaijan, Zanjan, Ilam, northern Khuzestan, northern Semnan, Qazvin, Markazi, Hamadan, Alborz, and other provinces. This warning includes the possibility of rising river water levels, flowing runoff, and temporary strong winds. In these conditions, the breaking of old trees and damage to agricultural products is also likely.

The Caspian Sea and the Persian Gulf are also affected by this situation, and with the increase in wind speed and wave height, turbulent conditions can be expected. The meteorological organization has advised swimmers to refrain from swimming in these areas, and restrictions have been placed on the movement of light and recreational boats.

Tehran is cloudy today, and in the afternoon, there is a possibility of scattered rainfall and temporary strong winds. Temperature fluctuations in Tehran are predicted to be between 15 to 22 degrees Celsius. Additionally, the average temperature in the country has increased by 1.7 degrees Celsius compared to the long-term period, with this increase being particularly noticeable in the provinces of Mazandaran, Alborz, and Golestan.
