The arrival of a new rain system in the country starting today will bring autumn rains, and we will witness rain and thunderstorms in the four provinces of Gilan, East Azerbaijan, West Azerbaijan, and Ardabil. These rains may also be accompanied by temporary strong winds, affecting the weather conditions in these areas.

Weather Warnings and Potential Hazards

According to experts from the Meteorological Organization, rain showers and thunderstorms in the provinces of West Azerbaijan, East Azerbaijan, Kurdistan, and Ardabil have led to an orange-level weather warning. This warning includes hazards such as flooding, the overflow of seasonal rivers, waterlogging of streets, and disruptions in transportation. There is also a possibility of old trees breaking and rocks and objects falling from heights.

Additionally, in other provinces such as Kermanshah, Hamadan, Markazi, and Lorestan, a yellow-level weather warning has been issued. In these areas, there is a risk of runoff, lightning, and damage to agricultural products. Experts recommend caution when passing through mountainous areas and avoiding parking vehicles next to old trees and unfinished buildings.

Continuation of Rains in the Coming Days

Kobra Rafiei, an expert from the Meteorological Organization, announced that the activity of the rain system will continue on Wednesday in areas of Gilan, Ardabil, East Azerbaijan, and Kurdistan. The intensity of the rain in the southern parts of West and East Azerbaijan, Kurdistan, and Zanjan is such that special attention and caution are required. Also, on Thursday, scattered rains are expected along the Caspian Sea coast and in North Khorasan.

In the next three days, strong winds accompanied by dust storms in susceptible areas, especially in the west, northwest, and southern slopes of Alborz, will lead to a decline in air quality. These winds may reduce horizontal visibility and cause problems in the eastern parts of the country, especially in Razavi and South Khorasan.

Experts also emphasize that temperature fluctuations in Tehran will range from 17 to 29 degrees Celsius, and winds in this city will intensify in the afternoon hours.

Reports from the Meteorological Organization indicate that the average temperature in the country over the past week has increased by 2.3 degrees Celsius compared to the long-term average. This temperature increase has been 3.4 and 3.3 degrees in Yazd and South Khorasan, respectively. Meanwhile, Kurdistan province recorded the least temperature change of 0.2 degrees compared to the long-term average.
