Heavy rain and snowfall in autumn are occurring in 11 provinces of the country, and this situation will be accompanied by a noticeable drop in temperature. According to forecasts from the Meteorological Organization, the activity of the precipitation system will intensify in the coming days, and these conditions may pose risks for travel and daily activities of the people.

Orange and Yellow Alerts

Rain and thunderstorms are predicted in the western part of the country, the southern slopes of the Alborz Mountains, and the Caspian Sea shores. Additionally, scattered rainfall is expected in northern Fars, Bushehr, central and eastern regions, and northeastern parts of the country. For this reason, an orange weather alert has been issued for the provinces of Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari, Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad, Khuzestan, eastern and southern Lorestan, Ilam, Gilan, and northern provinces of Tehran, Alborz, Qazvin, West Azerbaijan, and East Azerbaijan.

These warnings include risks such as disruptions in transportation, flooding, snowfall in mountainous areas, sudden rises in river water levels, and street flooding. Additionally, temporary strong winds, the potential for old trees to break, falling rocks and objects from heights, and damage to temporary structures and agricultural products are other dangers posed by this precipitation system.

Temperature Drop and Weather Changes

Amir Hossein Naghsheh, an expert from the Meteorological Organization of the country, announced that a noticeable drop in temperature is expected in most regions of the country, with a decrease between 5 to 12 degrees. For example, the temperature in Ardabil will drop from 20 degrees to 5 degrees, and the minimum temperature on Monday will reach 2 degrees below zero. These weather changes may affect the daily activities of the people and require more caution during travels and outdoor activities.

Naghsheh also reported the possibility of snowfall in the highlands located within the province of Tehran and the Caspian Sea shores, stating: "From Saturday to Monday, rain is expected in Tehran." These rains, especially in snow-prone passes, may create problems for travel.

Conditions of the Caspian Sea and Persian Gulf

The Caspian Sea and Persian Gulf will also be turbulent and choppy under these weather conditions. Increased wind speed and wave heights in coastal areas may pose risks for swimmers and boats. Therefore, swimming is discouraged, and the movement of light and recreational boats should be restricted.

Given these weather conditions, it is necessary for people to travel with more caution and avoid unnecessary activities during these days. Additionally, paying attention to weather warnings and adhering to safety guidelines can help reduce the risks associated with these rains.
