Yahya Golmohammadi, the head coach of the national U-23 football team, in candid and passionate remarks, emphasized the importance of his homeland and his responsibilities towards it. He stated that his first and last choice is his country, saying: "When such a responsibility arises, we can overlook many other issues so that our first and last choice is the country we love."

The Goal of the 2028 Olympics and the Philosophy of Building a Foundation

Golmohammadi referred to his long-term goals, considering the 2028 Olympics as one of the important plans of this group, but emphasized that his focus is not limited to securing an Olympic quota. He said: "We are definitely thinking about the 2028 Olympics and our vision is towards the future, but more importantly, it is the philosophy we want to create for building a foundation for the national team. Our goal is to bring the Iranian footballer to his true place."

Attention to Young Talents and Returning to the Identity of Iranian Football

He continued: "Perhaps in the past years, many talents have not been seen as they should have been, but from now on we want to keep an eye on all generations and take steps for their growth. A young Iranian player should know that wherever he is and at any level he plays football, he will be noticed and will have the opportunity to be seen."

Golmohammadi also thanked the Football Federation for the trust they have placed in him and considered the continuous support of this group essential for implementing his plans. Emphasizing the talent identification program in various provinces of the country, he said: "I expect the support for the programs we have for identifying talents in all provinces to continue. The Olympics is a very important goal, but we should not lose sight of other objectives."

The head coach of the U-23 national team emphasized the return to the identity of Iranian football, stating: "I have come to revive Iranian football. A football that is a combination of pride, emotion, and attacking play. I want to implement this vision in the U-23 national team and I will do my utmost to achieve it."

In conclusion, Golmohammadi, referring to the passing of Hamid Alidoosti, a former player and coach of the national football team, said: "I think not only Iranian football is mourning, but the nation of Iran is grieving the loss of a dear person whose ethics, health, and honor were the cornerstones of his life."
