The Appeals Committee of the Football Federation of Iran issued the final ruling in the case of the cultural and sports club Esteghlal's complaint against Mohammad Hossein Kanaanizadegan, a player of the Persepolis team. This case was brought up due to allegations of violent behavior and assault against Aref Aghasi, a player of Esteghlal, during a football match.

Case Review and Esteghlal's Appeal

Following the incident in the Esteghlal and Persepolis match, the Esteghlal club filed a complaint against Mohammad Hossein Kanaanizadegan and requested that this matter be addressed. In this regard, the Disciplinary Committee of the Football Federation of Iran initially reviewed the case and issued a ruling in which Kanaanizadegan was acquitted of the charges. However, the Esteghlal club appealed this ruling and requested a reconsideration.

During the Appeals Committee hearing, Aref Aghasi, the Esteghlal player who claimed to have been injured by Kanaanizadegan, announced via phone that he had withdrawn his complaint and expressed his satisfaction. This action by Aghasi had an impact on the case review process.

Final Outcome and Its Consequences

The Appeals Committee, after reviewing the available evidence and considering the lack of court-admissible evidence regarding the assault leading to injury, decided to uphold the Disciplinary Committee's ruling. This ruling means the rejection of Esteghlal's appeal and the confirmation of the previous ruling in favor of Kanaanizadegan. Thus, this verdict was declared final.

The Appeals Committee's ruling in this case highlights the importance of evidence and documentation in judicial decisions. This matter can serve as a lesson for other players and clubs that in similar cases, paying attention to documents and evidence is of high importance.

With this decision, it became clear that the Football Federation of Iran is striving to uphold justice and respect the rights of players and clubs, and that in cases where sufficient evidence is lacking, a player cannot be easily accused. This process may influence the relationships between clubs and players and contribute to creating a healthier environment in the country's football.
