A weather warning has been issued for 16 provinces across the country, and it is predicted that rain, thunderstorms, and strong winds will continue until Thursday. Fariba Goudarzi, a meteorologist, announced that rain showers, sometimes accompanied by thunderstorms, are expected in some areas of East Azerbaijan, Ardabil, the coastal provinces of the Caspian Sea, the central Alborz mountains, North Khorasan, and North Razavi Khorasan.
Areas Affected by the Rainfall
Goudarzi also noted that scattered rain showers will be observed in some southern regions of the country, including Sistan and Baluchestan, Hormozgan, Kerman, Fars, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari, and Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad. These weather changes bring threats, including the possibility of river flooding, waterlogging of roads, runoff, lightning, and the breaking of old trees.

Risks from Weather Conditions
Under the influence of this rain system, relatively strong to severe winds, dust storms, reduced visibility, and decreased air quality are also predicted in the southern parts of West Azerbaijan, East Azerbaijan, Zanjan, Qazvin, Alborz, Tehran, Kurdistan, and Kermanshah. In these conditions, caution is advised when passing through mountainous areas and ensuring the stability of temporary structures. Additionally, it is recommended not to park vehicles next to old trees and half-finished buildings and to exercise caution in road traffic.
The Caspian Sea, Strait of Hormuz, and Persian Gulf are also expected to be choppy and turbulent due to increased wind speed and wave height. This situation poses dangers in coastal areas and offshore regions of Hormozgan, in the Sea of Oman and the eastern Persian Gulf, such as the risk of drowning for swimmers and divers, tearing of fishing nets, and damage to fish farming cages. In these conditions, it is essential to prohibit swimming and limit the movement of light and recreational boats.
Tehran's Weather Status
The sky in Tehran is currently clear to partly cloudy, with temporary winds expected. Scattered rain is forecasted for Thursday and Friday in Tehran, and the trend of decreasing temperatures will continue. Temperature fluctuations in Tehran range from 20 to 30 degrees. Goudarzi noted that the intensity of the rain system's activity will remain at the yellow weather warning level until the end of the week.
