The statue of Martyr General Amir Ali Hajizadeh in Abu Zar Square, one of the symbols of resistance in Tehran, was unveiled in the presence of Alireza Zakani, the mayor of Tehran, and Mehdi Chamran, the chairman of the Islamic City Council of Tehran. This ceremony took place on Wednesday evening and honored the memory of the martyrs of resistance.
Message from the Mayor of Tehran to the People of Iran
Alireza Zakani emphasized the necessity of maintaining national unity and cohesion, referring to the imperialist ambitions towards Iran and stated: "We have defeated the false might of America and rubbed its forehead in the dust." He added that the Iranian people have a great responsibility in realizing the goals of the Islamic Revolution and must focus on the internal progress of the country while preserving this dignity.

Zakani continued by mentioning the notable characteristics of Martyr Hajizadeh, recalling his smiling and determined face, and said: "A commander who, in addition to his responsibilities, was concerned about internal capacities and repeatedly emphasized that what exists in the internal capabilities of the country can prosper Iran."
Emphasis on the Memory of Great Martyrs
Mehdi Chamran also referred to the sacrifices of General Hajizadeh in the missile field during this ceremony and stated: "His efforts and advancements in the missile capabilities of the IRGC are now showing results on a global scale." He also considered the installation of this statue at the birthplace and residence of the martyr's mother as a symbol of honoring the memory of this dear martyr.
Chamran expressed that the memory and name of Martyr Hajizadeh will remain forever in the history of the Iranian people, stating: "All the dear martyrs taught the Iranian people lessons of resistance, steadfastness, and sacrifice, and General Hajizadeh is one of the great martyrs whose memory and name will always be alive."
At the end of this ceremony, the mayor of Tehran emphasized the necessity of public support for the armed forces, saying: "The people are present to support the leadership, the IRGC, the army, and all the guardians of the security and strength of the country, and at the same time, they must be present to help correct the direction if any official makes a miscalculation."
