The large-scale 313,000-person Janfadaiyan exercise of Iran will be held on Friday, September 27, 2026. This exercise aims to showcase the power and unity of various forces in the country at the location of Enghelab Street, from Imam Hossein Square to the intersection of Shahid Navab Safavi Highway. Therefore, implementing traffic restrictions in Tehran on the day of this event is essential.

Prohibited Areas and Traffic Restrictions

Brigadier General Seyed Abolfazl Mousavi Pour, the head of Tehran's traffic police, explained the traffic details related to this exercise. In the first phase, traffic restrictions will be applied in the northern side, including the streets of Azadi, Enghelab, and Damavand, the western side at the Tohid intersection, and the eastern side on Imam Ali Highway. Other restrictions will also be implemented in later phases on Madani, Taleghani, and Keshavarz Streets.

Starting from 24:00 on Thursday, the special lane on Damavand Street from the Imam Ali Highway bridge to Enghelab Square will be closed. Additionally, streets perpendicular to Enghelab Street will be closed to traffic from 5 AM on Friday. In this context, streets such as Shariati, Hafez, Vali Asr, and Palestine will also be subject to parking bans.

Traffic Police Recommendations to Citizens

The traffic police recommend that citizens use public transportation, especially the metro, buses, and taxis, to prevent traffic congestion on the roads. Motorcyclists should wear helmets and strictly adhere to traffic laws and regulations. Paying attention to the speed limit and being more cautious while traveling in the areas surrounding the event location are also among the police's recommendations.

Overall, this exercise demonstrates the power and solidarity of Iran's armed forces, and necessary arrangements have already been made to facilitate traffic on the day of the event. Holding such events not only helps showcase the country's military power but also provides an opportunity for national unity and solidarity.
