Rainfall in some of the northern highways of the country, including the provinces of Semnan, Gilan, Golestan, and Mazandaran, has impacted traffic conditions. Meanwhile, fog has also been observed in some of the highways of Ardabil province. These weather conditions, especially in busy routes like Haraz, Firouzkuh, and Chalus, can pose dangers for drivers.

Weather Conditions and Their Impact on Traffic

The Haraz and Chalus routes are facing reduced visibility due to rain and fog in the heights. Drivers on these routes should exercise more caution and reduce their speed to reach their destinations safely. Meanwhile, the Qazvin - Rasht freeway has a better condition and has not reported any weather-related disruptions.

Closure of Some Road Routes

According to recent reports, some important routes in the country have been closed due to insufficient safety. For example, the Gilan-e Gharb - Somar route in Kermanshah province and the Shameshk - Dizin route in Alborz province have been closed to vehicles due to dangers arising from weather conditions. Additionally, the Shahdad - Nehbendan route in Kerman province and the Ramian - Takht-e Nalang - Shahroud route in Golestan province have also been closed until further notice.

Reports indicate that drivers should check the status of these closed routes before traveling and choose alternative routes if necessary. It is also recommended that during rainfall, vehicle speeds be reduced and sudden movements be avoided to prevent accidents.

Overall, given the current weather conditions, drivers should pay close attention to warnings and recommendations from the police and authorities and avoid unnecessary travel in these conditions. Rainfall and fog can directly affect travel safety and traffic conditions, and therefore, adherence to safety and caution is essential.
