The access bridge from Star Khan Street to Shahid Chamran Highway was inaugurated yesterday in the presence of the Mayor of Tehran and a number of senior urban managers as part of the 221st Hope and Pride Campaign. This project is considered another effort to alleviate traffic congestion in western Tehran.

Reduction of 490 Kilometers in Traffic Routes

The urban management has set a goal to reduce 830 kilometers of traffic routes, and with the opening of this bridge and other similar projects, over 490 kilometers of this goal has been achieved so far. In this regard, 8 other projects are also underway and need to be completed soon to fully realize the anticipated goals in urban infrastructure development.

Continuation of Projects in Wartime Conditions

In the current situation where the country is engaged in an all-out war, the implementation of urban projects has become particularly important. The Mayor of Tehran emphasized that even in the midst of war, we must be able to address the city's problems and provide the necessary services to the people. The opening of this bridge demonstrates the continuity of urban management activities under the current difficult conditions. He also thanked Mehdi Sedaghat, the Technical and Urban Development Deputy of Tehran Municipality, and all those involved in the execution of this project.

So far, 70 projects including 146 bridges and underpasses have been opened, reflecting the continuous efforts of urban management for urban infrastructure development. Mehdi Chamran, the Chairman of the Tehran City Council, also emphasized the importance of these projects in solving traffic problems and stated that the implementation of projects should help address traffic issues.

Mehdi Sedaghat, the CEO of the Tehran Engineering and Urban Development Organization, announced that this project will directly improve traffic conditions in the area. Additionally, plans are underway to construct two grade-separated intersections on Shahid Saidi Highway to alleviate traffic congestion in this region as well.

Ultimately, these projects represent the ongoing efforts of the Tehran Municipality to serve the people. These actions, in the current circumstances, are seen as a symbol of the determination and will of urban management to respond to the needs of citizens.
