The Director General of the Counseling and Health Office of the Student Affairs Organization of the Ministry of Science, highlighting the importance of health services for students, announced the implementation of a mental and physical health monitoring and screening program. This newly launched program aims to ensure that all students benefit from various health services.
Monitoring Mental and Physical Health of Students
The mental and physical health monitoring program, which was previously only implemented for a specific group of students, is now extended to all students. The goal of this program is to identify and assess the psychological and physical problems of students so that timely and effective assistance can be provided. The Director General of the Counseling and Health Office of the Ministry of Science emphasized that mental health is one of the main pillars of academic success, and therefore, attention to this issue is of high importance.
Establishment of a Crisis Hotline to Assist Students
Alongside this program, the Director General of the Counseling and Health Office announced the establishment of a crisis hotline. This line serves as a supportive resource for students in emergencies and psychological crises. Students can call this line to receive immediate and specialized counseling. This initiative reflects the Ministry of Science's efforts to enhance the mental and physical health of students and support them during their studies.
According to the Director General of the Counseling and Health Office, these services are provided in line with the overarching goals of the Ministry of Science to create a healthy and dynamic environment for students. He also pointed out the importance of preventing diseases and psychological issues among students, adding: "Prevention is always better than treatment, and we are striving to help students identify and resolve their problems through these programs."
Given the specific social and economic conditions that students face, the implementation of these programs can significantly impact the improvement of their quality of life and education. We hope that with the support and cooperation of all institutions, these programs will achieve the necessary success, allowing students to make the best use of these services.
