Seyed Hemayat Mirzadeh, the Legal and Parliamentary Affairs Deputy of the Ministry of Education, reacted to some news and narratives published about the result of the vote for the Minister of Education, stressing the necessity of transparency in announcing votes. He pointed out the question raised by the representative from Shiraz regarding the disregard for the opinions of selection experts in hiring teachers, explaining that the Minister of Education received 113 votes in favor, 76 votes against, and 5 abstentions.
Ambiguities in the Votes of Representatives
Mirzadeh pointed out an important issue, saying: "In some reports, the status of the votes of 50 representatives who are on the list of attendees has not been considered. The status of their votes is unclear, as we do not know how many intentionally did not vote or were unable to register their votes due to technical failures in the voting system." He also added that some of these representatives have expressed and signed their agreement in writing.

The Necessity of Thorough Examination of Unregistered Votes
The Legal and Parliamentary Affairs Deputy of the Ministry of Education emphasized the importance of thoroughly examining unregistered votes due to technical failures, stating: "In a letter sent to the presiding board of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, the necessity of examining this issue has been raised, and it is expected that this matter will be addressed carefully and based on documentation."
He also referred to the ambiguities raised regarding the interpretation and implementation of Article 208 of the internal regulations of the Assembly, saying: "The interpretation made from this article has faced objections and ambiguities from several representatives, including some members of the presiding board and the Education and Research Commission of the Assembly. This article explicitly states that if the majority of present representatives are not satisfied with the minister's response, it is considered that the question is valid, whereas 76 individuals in the session were not satisfied, leading to the erroneous announcement of 113 votes against."
Mirzadeh concluded by emphasizing: "Transparency in announcing the results and paying attention to all documentation of the voting process is very important. The media should avoid publishing incomplete and inaccurate narratives, as the public has the right to be informed about the real details of this process and the ambiguities raised about it."
