The National Meteorological Organization issued a yellow alert, reporting heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, and temporary strong winds in 11 provinces. These rains are particularly forecasted in West Azerbaijan, East Azerbaijan, Ardabil, Gilan, Mazandaran, and Golestan.

Risks Associated with the Rainfall

In these areas, in addition to rainfall, there is also a possibility of hail in susceptible spots. The meteorological organization has stated that these weather conditions could lead to rising river waters, flooding of streets, and runoff. There is also a risk of lightning, temporary strong winds, the breaking of old and weakened trees, damage to temporary structures and agricultural products, and slippery roads. Fariba Goudarzi, a meteorology expert, added: "Rainfall in these areas will continue until mid-week."

Weather Conditions in Other Provinces

In some areas of the northeast, northwest, and west of the country, temporary strong winds and the possibility of dust storms are forecasted. These conditions may lead to reduced horizontal visibility and air quality in East Azerbaijan, West Azerbaijan, Kurdistan, Kermanshah, the eastern strip of South Khorasan, northern Sistan and Baluchestan, and northern Kerman. In this regard, caution is advised when passing through mountainous areas, ensuring the stability of temporary structures and advertising boards, and avoiding parking vehicles next to old trees.

The Caspian Sea and the eastern Oman Sea are also rough and turbulent. An increase in wind speed and wave height in the coastal and offshore areas of Gilan and Mazandaran provinces is accompanied by a yellow weather alert. The risks of this alert include the possibility of drowning swimmers, tearing of fishing nets, and damage to fish farming cages. In these conditions, caution in recreational and fishing activities and the movement of light and semi-heavy vessels is essential.

In Tehran, the sky is clear, but strong temporary winds and reduced air quality are expected in the afternoon hours. Temperature fluctuations in Tehran will vary between 23 and 35 degrees Celsius. Reports indicate that the average temperature in the country has increased by 1.6 degrees Celsius over the past week compared to the long-term period, with the highest temperature increase observed in Sistan and Baluchestan and Kerman provinces.
