Barbecues in Kazerun County are gradually changing their cooking system from charcoal to gas. This decision, made to reduce charcoal consumption and protect oak trees, is being implemented rapidly.

Positive Impact of Changes on Barbecues

Mohammad Amin Birami, head of the Kazerun Environmental Protection Agency, announced that this resolution was approved within the framework of cooperation among various working groups in the county, including the prosecutor's office and the Chamber of Commerce. Currently, 75% of barbecues have made the necessary changes, and for those units that do not have access to city gas, gas connections have been provided immediately.

Reduction of Problems and Costs for Barbecues

Abdolqasem Fazelpour, the public relations officer of the Kazerun Chamber of Commerce, stated in an interview about the latest status of this plan that barbecues have generally not opposed this change, and in fact, these changes have brought additional benefits to many units. Previously, barbecues had to spend a lot of time cleaning grills and storing charcoal, but with the elimination of charcoal, these problems have decreased.

Fazelpour also mentioned the decrease in the price of charcoal from 80,000 tomans to 30,000 tomans, stating that charcoal sales have sharply declined and no one is buying from sellers anymore. According to him, charcoal consumption in barbecues is recognized as one of the main sectors of this product's consumption, and this decision will help reduce pressure on forests.

A Greener Future for Kazerun

With the welcome of this decision, the provincial Chamber of Commerce also hopes that other cities will join this trend. Fazelpour emphasized that these changes not only help protect natural resources but also give barbecues the opportunity to continue their work with a new approach.

In response to questions about the activities of mobile barbecues, he explained that there are no mobile barbecues in Kazerun, and all business units have the necessary permits and cooperate with the Chamber of Commerce. This plan clearly demonstrates the serious determination of Kazerun County to protect the environment and improve business conditions.
