The new precipitation system that entered the country yesterday will continue today with greater intensity in the provinces located in the west, northwest, the slopes of the Zagros, the Alborz mountains, and the Caspian Sea coast. Weather Alerts and Safety Recommendations
An orange alert has been issued for most provinces in the western half of the country. Compatriots are advised to avoid unnecessary travel, camping, and movement along riverbanks and beds, as well as ascending to high altitudes. Heavy rainfall can lead to flash floods and potential dangers, so caution is essential.
Weather Impacts on Temperature and Agriculture
Additionally, the temperature has noticeably decreased. Today, Shahrekord, with a minimum temperature of 5 and a maximum temperature of 9 degrees Celsius, is considered the coldest provincial center in the country. This drop in temperature is particularly concerning for farmers and livestock breeders. Protection of orchards, greenhouses, livestock units, and fish farming ponds against cold, snow, and rain has been declared essential.
In these weather conditions, farmers must take necessary measures to prevent potential damage to their crops. It is expected that heavy rainfall in these days will harm agricultural production and cause damage.
