Rainfall continues today along the shores of the Caspian Sea and the southern heights of Semnan, the Alborz mountain range, and areas of East Azerbaijan and Ardabil. Kobra Rafiei, a meteorologist at the National Weather Organization, announced that these rains are also expected in North Khorasan and North Razavi Khorasan. In the evening hours, rainfall with thunderstorms is not unexpected in the heights of Kerman, Sistan and Baluchestan, northern and eastern Hormozgan, and southeastern Fars.

Weather Warning for the Northern Half of the Country

Heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, and temporary strong winds are predicted in some areas, including the northern half of West Azerbaijan, northern East Azerbaijan, southern Kermanshah, northern Ilam, and Lorestan. This situation is accompanied by a yellow weather warning. The hazards of this warning include the possibility of river flooding, street flooding, runoff, lightning, and temporary strong winds. Additionally, old and weakened trees may be damaged, causing losses to temporary structures and agricultural products.

Arrival of a New Precipitation System

Kobra Rafiei added: "The new precipitation system will enter the country from the northwest on Tuesday, and rainfall will begin again from the western and northwestern parts of the country." Details of this system will be announced in the coming days. In the eastern and southwestern strips of the country, strong winds and dust storms are expected in some hours. This situation will lead to reduced horizontal visibility and decreased air quality in eastern Razavi Khorasan, South Khorasan, and northern and eastern Sistan and Baluchestan.

The Caspian Sea and the Persian Gulf are also expected to be rough and turbulent during these days. Increased wind speed and wave height in the coastal and offshore areas of Gilan, Mazandaran, and Golestan in the Caspian Sea are accompanied by an orange marine weather warning, while in the coastal and offshore areas of Khuzestan, Bushehr, and Hormozgan in the Persian Gulf, the Strait of Hormuz, and the Sea of Oman, a yellow marine weather warning is in effect. This situation may pose risks to swimmers and divers and cause disruptions in maritime traffic.

In Tehran province, increased cloud cover and occasional temporary strong winds are expected. Temperature fluctuations in Tehran are between 19 to 28 degrees Celsius. According to the National Weather Organization's report, the average temperature in the country has increased by 2.2 degrees Celsius in the past week compared to the long-term period, with the highest temperature increase recorded in Yazd province at 3.1 degrees and in Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari province at 2.8 degrees. Kurdistan province has recorded the least temperature change compared to the long-term average.
