The press conference of the film 'I Am Not a Needle' was held with the presence of Manouchehr Hadi, Yekta Naser, Alireza Khamseh, Youssef Timouri, and other members of the film crew at the International Festival of Films for Children and Adolescents. This meeting took shape as a young journalist raised a question regarding the relationship between child and adolescent audiences and films, leading to a serious discussion about audience analysis of children's and adolescents' works.

Challenging Questions about Audience Engagement

One of the questions raised at this meeting concerned the reactions of child and adolescent audiences during the film screening. The young journalist pointed out that despite the presence of well-known actors and the experience of the production team, why some child and adolescent audiences were unable to establish a proper connection with the film? He also referred to his observations in the screening room, noting that some children did not pay enough attention to the screen during parts of the film and were engaged with social media.

In this regard, Manouchehr Hadi responded to this question by stating that it is natural that not every film can appeal to all audiences, and it may be necessary to watch a film more than once to connect with it. He also acknowledged the possibility of flaws in the film and emphasized the importance of the quality of film presentation.

A Different Perspective on Audience Behavior

Yekta Naser also responded to this question by saying: "Your question is fundamentally flawed, and every audience member can choose whether or not to watch the film." She emphasized that any film may not be appealing to some individuals, and in such cases, they have the right to leave the theater. Naser believes that even the best films may not capture the attention of some audiences, and we should consider their behavior.

At the end of the meeting, given the discussions about film quality, the age group of the audience, and the necessity of considering the tastes of children and adolescents, the way to engage with young journalists also became a notable topic. This highlighted the importance of creating a professional and safe environment for the presence and questioning of adolescents at cultural and cinematic events.
