Parviz Sarvari, the Vice President of the Islamic Council of Tehran, announced in a press conference the planning for the construction of 400 educational complexes in the capital with a non-military defense approach. Sarvari emphasized in this meeting that the blood of student martyrs has made the responsibility of securing schools and educational spaces heavier on the shoulders of officials. He added: "We must think of the future generation and provide them with safe and peaceful environments to study in."
According to him, given the current situation of the country and potential threats, it is necessary for schools, as one of the most important educational and training centers, to be secured. This security includes designing educational spaces in such a way that they can be used as shelters in critical situations.
Using Urban Infrastructure as Shelters
Parviz Sarvari further referred to the capabilities of urban infrastructure and said: "Metro stations, multi-story parking lots, and underground spaces can be used as urban shelters. This not only increases safety but can also be effective in reducing traffic and improving urban conditions."
