During the 12-day war, the Islamic Revolution Housing Foundation took responsibility for the reconstruction of 3,300 residential units, and this process was fully completed by December of last year. Khajeh Deloui, referring to the extensive damage inflicted on people's homes during the imposed 40-day war, said: "During this time, extensive assessments equivalent to over 140,000 cases were conducted in 407 cities and villages, and from the very first day, repair and reconstruction operations began."
Statistics and Details of Reconstruction
This official stated that out of 101,000 damaged residential and commercial units, 1,400 units needed to be completely rebuilt. As of this week, repairs on 93,000 units out of 101,000 have been completed, and the Housing Foundation predicts that the repair and reconstruction work resulting from the 40-day war will be finished within the next month.
Khajeh Deloui also referred to the construction process of the 1,400 units, stating: "Of this number, the construction of 700 units has been pursued, and applicants have entered the construction phase by obtaining permits. The debris removal operations for these units have also been carried out by the Housing Foundation."
Additionally, some applicants are seeking to build larger buildings compared to their previous homes, while others request to relocate their residences to different locations. He noted that about 20 of the 100 percent constructed units were put into operation last week.
In conclusion, Khajeh Deloui announced that the Housing Foundation's plan for completing this project was by the end of 1406, but it is expected that the projects will be completed sooner.
