Mohsen Omidian, the mayor of Region 21, during a visit to the industrial units in this region, emphasized the importance of supporting drug manufacturers and accelerating the issuance of licenses. He stated that this region, as the industrial heart of the country, hosts more than 440 industrial units that operate in various fields, including automotive and pharmaceutical industries.
The Key Role of Pharmaceutical Industries in the Country's Economy
Omidian pointed out that all automotive and pharmaceutical companies in the country are present in this region, saying: "These entities significantly contribute to the economy and drug security of the country under sanctions, and we must help ensure that this happens in a better way." He continued that if reforms are to be made in the maps and zoning of this region, these reviews should be conducted out of turn and as quickly as possible.

Challenges and Opportunities Ahead for Abidi Pharmaceutical
The CEO of Abidi Pharmaceutical Company, who was present during this visit, appreciated the municipality's initiative and said: "This company, with a long history of activity and investment, has now become the number one drug manufacturer in the country." He also referred to the construction of the largest pharmaceutical factory in the Middle East and added that, in addition, three other factories are also operating under this group's management.
This official further pointed out the challenges facing this group and said: "The role of the municipality of Region 21 in ensuring drug supply and drug security for the country is very important, and we appreciate the support of the urban management." He emphasized the need for more cooperation with the municipality to facilitate the licensing process and remove obstacles.
Finally, Omidian stated that the work of these entities is a priority for urban management and that we will act as quickly as possible while adhering to safety principles, urban planning, and regulations. These actions will not only benefit the pharmaceutical industries but will also help ensure the country's drug security.
