Mohammad Moradi announced a major project called Egg City at the World Egg Day conference. This project, which will be located in the heart of one of the country's egg production hubs, is being developed with the aim of increasing production and improving product quality.

Fast-Track Implementation Stages

Moradi pointed out that if the initial permits for this project were to be obtained alone, it would likely take more than one to two years. He emphasized that with the collaborations made, the stages related to the industrial town and obtaining permits were completed in less than a month. This speed of action reflects the serious determination of officials and industry players in the egg sector to develop this area.

Geographical Location and Project Facilities

Moradi referred to the geographical location of the project site and said: "This complex is located in an area where about 60 to 65 percent of the country's egg production falls within the desired radius." This can significantly help increase access to raw materials and reduce production costs.

In the first phase, a land area of 6,800 square meters has been purchased from industrial towns, and simultaneously with the progress of the initial stages of the project, another piece of land measuring 23,000 square meters has also been purchased and annexed to the first piece. Moradi emphasized that the project design has been completed to the end of the production chain, and currently, the implementation operations have begun with the construction of storage and egg collection warehouses.

Investment and Future Outlook

The CEO of the National Poultry Farmers Union stated that the packaging sector and its factory, as well as a complete egg processing line including liquid pasteurized egg and egg powder production, will be included. He mentioned that about 170 billion tomans have been spent on this project so far, adding: "With the help of industry players and through the economic activities and measures taken, we have managed to advance the project to this stage, but Egg City is a large project, and the implementation of its next stages requires significant investment."

Moradi also referred to the establishment of the Support Company for the National Egg-Laying Hen Industries and added: "The founding board of this company has been selected, and the registration and establishment process was finalized about two weeks ago."

He estimated the cost of completing the project by stating that considering the current conditions and disregarding inflationary issues that may affect costs, our estimate is that completing the entire project will require four to five trillion tomans in investment.
