Mohammad Mahdi Azizi, the CEO of the City Guard and Urban Protector of Tehran Municipality, announced the liberation of over 38,000 square meters of urban passages following the implementation of the construction workshop organization plan. This plan was executed with the aim of increasing compliance with urban regulations and preventing obstruction caused by construction activities.
Increased Compliance with Building Standards
Azizi further stated: During inspections, the main deficiencies and issues were identified, and about 4,500 of them were resolved. Additionally, an examination of the status of licensed buildings showed that over 60% of these buildings had complied with the required standards before the implementation of the plan. With concentrated efforts and increased follow-ups, the level of compliance with these standards has increased by more than 15% and reached about 75 to 80%.

Continuous Supervision of Construction Workshops
The CEO of the City Guard and Urban Protector discussed the supervisory aspects of this organization: Monitoring compliance with requirements related to building wraps and guardrails, preventing obstruction of sidewalks, and preventing the dumping of construction materials and items in water channels and public passages are among the duties of the company's personnel during inspections of construction workshops. These inspections are conducted to assess compliance with urban regulations and to follow up on deficiencies related to the company's mission.
Azizi emphasized the continuity of supervision, stating: More than a thousand personnel related to this field are present in the city daily to assess and follow up on compliance with regulations. The implementation of a 21-day plan has also been carried out to focus on problematic areas and expedite the identification and resolution of deficiencies, but this does not mean that supervision is limited to this timeframe.
He concluded by emphasizing: Supervision of construction workshops and follow-up on violations will continue within the framework of the company's legal duties to enhance urban discipline, prevent the occupation of public passages, and ensure safe and easy movement for citizens.
