Mohammad Ali Farakh Mehr, President of the Tehran Hoteliers Association, has examined the profound changes in the hospitality industry with the introduction of smart technologies and reports improvements in management in this field. According to him, in the past, hotel management faced many difficulties due to a lack of management software, but now, with the implementation of new systems, this process has become simpler and more accurate.

Moving Towards Modern Technologies

Farakh Mehr points out that although our country is lagging behind others in utilizing modern technologies, we are gradually moving towards using these tools. He says: "Smart technologies can help increase productivity in the hospitality industry by simplifying management, financial, purchasing, and inventory processes, and can compensate for part of the shortage of specialized human resources."

The Future Outlook of Hospitality

The President of the Hoteliers Association continues: "Today, various systems operate in this field that have made it easier for hotels to review products, inquire about prices, and make purchases. This trend can also develop in the future and simplify many operational activities." He also points to the declining birth rates in many countries and predicts that the shortage of human resources will be felt more in the coming years. Therefore, the use of smart technologies can help compensate for this shortage.

Farakh Mehr highlights the importance of developing online room reservation systems and cleaning and serving robots, stating: "These technologies can significantly assist in identifying and controlling hotel assets and quickly record information related to inventory and shortages."

He concludes by expressing hope that the support of the government, the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, and related communication technology institutions will benefit the players in this field, including businesses related to tourism. Farakh Mehr emphasizes: "Financial support and strengthening young people who are active in developing smart systems can help accelerate the adoption of this technology in the country's hospitality industry."
