The Iranian national football team, which recently played a match against Tajikistan during the current FIFA Day, intended to hold friendly matches with other teams as well. However, the news of Venezuela's withdrawal from the desired match has raised concerns within the Football Federation.

Mehdi Taj, the head of the Football Federation, had previously announced that he was planning to hold another friendly match in Qatar. Taj stated regarding this matter: "We coordinated with Qatar and the match with Venezuela was supposed to take place. However, Venezuela sent a letter stating that they cannot hold this match. Although there was an agreement, I do not know why the match has been canceled." These statements reflect the concerns and challenges faced by the Football Federation in creating playing opportunities for the national team.
Ambiguities in Future Planning
The head of the Football Federation further explained that despite Venezuela's withdrawal, there is still hope for coordination with another team. He emphasized: "We are still trying to find another opponent. If we can arrange a third team, the national team will go from Russia to Qatar and play a match. The match venue is definitely in Qatar, and we are looking for another opponent."
However, Venezuela's withdrawal and the uncertainty regarding the third team have created new challenges for the Football Federation. This situation will not only affect the training and preparation programs of the national team but may also impact the team's performance in official competitions in the near future.
The concerns regarding the cancellation of this friendly match highlight the challenges faced by the Football Federation in securing suitable and desirable programs for the national team. Now it remains to be seen whether the Football Federation can find a suitable opponent for the Iranian national team under these circumstances.
