Iran is executing significant construction projects near its two main missile bases. Analysis of satellite images indicates that the country is simultaneously repairing bases that have been damaged in recent airstrikes by the U.S. and Israel.

Construction Projects at Military Bases

Analysts from the British intelligence company "MAIAR" who have examined these images have observed evidence of excavation operations and the construction of new buildings in satellite images captured in November at the Garmdareh military base in Karaj, located near Tehran, as well as at the Shahroud base in northern Iran.

At least 12 other military sites, including missile complexes and air bases, also appear to show signs of repairs. At the missile base in Kermanshah in western Iran, which is near the Iraqi border, new roofs have been constructed over destroyed buildings. Additionally, at the Parchin military complex in eastern Tehran, damaged buildings and debris have been cleared.

Tunneling and New Infrastructure Construction

Jim Lenson, a former CIA analyst and Iran expert, has stated that the excavations near Shahroud may be related to missile production. According to him, given that the air base near Shahroud has been targeted several times in recent years, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps may be attempting to move its production facilities underground.

Analysts at "MAIAR" have also indicated that Iran is creating a pattern of moving infrastructure underground to protect it from further attacks. Mark Mellet, a defense analyst and former head of the Irish Army, pointed out the advantages of building underground facilities, stating that this makes it more difficult for external observers to assess their operational status.

This development occurs amid rising concerns about the possibility of further attacks from the U.S. and Israel following the recent midterm elections in the United States. J.D. Vance, the U.S. Vice President, noted that the negative impact of the war among voters may have affected the poor performance of Republicans in the recent elections.

At several bases across the country, Iranian forces have focused on conducting limited repairs at complexes that have been severely damaged since the onset of the U.S.-Israel war. Satellite images show that significant construction has been completed at the "Taleqan 2" facilities in the Parchin military complex.

Preparing for Future Attacks

In Karaj and Shahroud, satellite images show extensive excavations that appear to indicate Iran's readiness for future attacks. Sam Lear, a research analyst at the Foreign Policy Research Institute, stated that the images from Karaj clearly indicate a new entrance for an underground facility.

Analysts in this area have also pointed to new constructions and excavations near the city of Qom. These actions indicate that Tehran is preparing itself for further attacks, with military capability restoration being a priority.

Ultimately, despite U.S. claims of weakening Iran's military capabilities, the country continues to secure and strengthen its military infrastructure, and recent images broadcast by state television confirm the existence of large missile stockpiles in underground facilities.
