Iran City Markets have been set up in seven different locations in the capital with the aim of facilitating daily shopping and providing necessary goods for households. These markets are part of Tehran's livelihood headquarters plan, launched in collaboration with the Tehran Industries and Professions Organization, allowing citizens to easily access the products they need at more affordable prices.
Diversity of Goods and Affordable Prices
In Iran City Markets, a range of essential household goods, including oil, rice, red and lamb meat, dried fruits, herbal drinks, and various spices, are sold. These markets not only enable citizens to meet part of their daily needs but also provide an opportunity to become acquainted with products produced in different provinces.

One of the notable features of Iran City Markets is the more direct connection between producers and consumers. By reducing intermediaries, goods are offered at more reasonable prices, benefiting buyers. Discounts ranging from 15 to 30 percent have been set for various products, helping families secure essential items. The prices of some products are even lower than those offered in fruit and vegetable markets.
Social Solidarity Campaign
Alongside shopping activities, Iran City Markets are dedicated to the public campaign "Solidarity for Social Resilience." This campaign aims to enhance social participation and dialogue about solidarity and the ability to overcome challenges. In this regard, citizens can participate in the "My Narrative of Resilience" competition by sending photos, videos, or texts to share their experiences.
Additionally, a "Solidarity Station" has been set up in these markets for individuals to answer the question, "What do I do to keep my family and community strong during tough times?" This simple question creates a space for each person to express their role in supporting those around them and maintaining hope.
A children's drawing competition on the theme of "Kind City, Resilient Family" also provides an opportunity for children to express their feelings and views on kindness and togetherness. Furthermore, in the "Visual Narratives" section, interviews with citizens and shopkeepers about their shopping experiences and the role of social solidarity will be conducted to share these narratives.
Iran City Markets have been established in seven locations across the capital, including areas 2, 4, 5, 15, 17, 20, and 22. The operating hours of these markets are announced from 10 AM to 10 PM. These markets are, in fact, places that, amidst daily commutes, provide an opportunity to meet family needs, become familiar with domestic products, and experience a space for solidarity and social participation.
The urban management aims to bring services closer to the daily lives of people by establishing these markets and strives to accompany citizens in meeting their needs while paying attention to domestic production and social connections.
