Pasta wheat, as one of the essential raw materials in the production of this food product, will be supplied to manufacturing factories at the new price of 60,000 Tomans starting from the beginning of November. This price change has been approved by the Market Regulation Headquarters, and following the significant increase in wheat prices, its effects on the consumer market will be clearly felt.

Details of the Increase in Pasta Wheat Prices

Before this change, the price of one kilogram of pasta wheat was 23,850 Tomans, which has significantly risen to 60,000 Tomans with this increase. This price increase, especially considering transportation costs, reaches about 80,000 Tomans for suppliers. Mohammad Javad Karami, head of the flour and bread working group at the Tehran Chamber of Guilds, has pointed to the increase in wheat prices and emphasized that these changes will affect the cost of flour and ultimately the prices of bread and pasta.

Removal of Subsidies and Its Impact on Consumers

Karami also stated that the flour related to industrial breads and pasta has been removed from government subsidies and will be supplied at free market prices. This issue will not only affect producers but consumers must also prepare for the price increase of these products. Given that bread is one of the main food items in family consumption baskets, these changes could put more pressure on vulnerable segments of society.

Currently, with the increase in wheat prices and the removal of subsidies, it is expected that the prices of bread and pasta will gradually rise. This issue has raised concerns among the public and economic experts, and it remains to be seen whether the government will take measures to control these price increases.

Ultimately, considering the economic conditions and the purchasing power of the people, these changes could have serious consequences on the consumer market and the daily lives of individuals. It seems that with these decisions, the wheat market and its related products will move towards imbalance and instability.
