Hojjatoleslam Seyyed Mahmoud Nabavian, a member of the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, analyzed the main reasons for the disagreements between America and Iran during a memorial ceremony for the second anniversary of the martyrdom of Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah and Seyyed Hashem Safi al-Din at the Martyr Tehrani Moghaddam Hosseiniyeh. He posed the question of what America wants from the other side of the world, emphasizing that America's problem with the Iranian nation goes beyond nuclear issues.
The Main Conflict is Over Faith and Islamic Principles
Nabavian pointed out that some believe the conflict between America and Iran is related to the nuclear issue, deeming this analysis incorrect. He stated, "Trump himself says he has destroyed Iran's nuclear facilities and that Iran has no bomb. If the issue is the nuclear bomb, why don't they attack Pakistan, North Korea, and India?" He believes that Iran's martyrs, like the martyrs of Mina, were neither nuclear scientists nor missile manufacturers, so the main issue is something else.
Hojjatoleslam Nabavian emphasized that the main conflict of America with Iran is over the essence of Islam, describing this confrontation as between the front of Islam and the front of disbelief. He clarified that if Iran submits to America's demands, their problem will not be solved, because their main issue is with the essence of Islam.
Analyzing Iran's Position Against America
Nabavian referred to history, stating, "Martyrs like Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah and Martyr Tehrani Moghaddam were martyred for Islam, and we too are paying the price for Islam today." He noted that the Islamic Revolution continues to support the oppressed everywhere in the world, referencing Imam Khomeini's teachings about the existence of two types of Islam: "American Islam and pure Muhammadan Islam."
Nabavian pointed out America's military power and its military budget, which will reach $925 billion in 2025, emphasizing that despite this disparity, America has not been able to achieve its goals, which shows the strength of the spirit and faith of the Iranian people. He remarked, "The main issue is resistance, and even if the enemy has several times more military capabilities than us, our duty is to resist."
He also noted that in the face of pressures, one should not think that everything is over. Despite the blockade and problems, oil is being exported from the country's ports, and money is entering the country. Therefore, one should not weaken the spirit of society by exaggerating problems.
In conclusion, Hojjatoleslam Nabavian emphasized that if God helps us, no country on earth will be able to defeat us, and no one will overpower us. He urged the Iranian nation to continue their path with faith and resistance and to fulfill their duties.
