Mohammad Baqer Ghalibaf, the Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, in his pre-session speech today, congratulated the occasion of Police Week and emphasized the importance and necessity of equipping and strengthening law enforcement. He further referred to the recent successes of Iranian athletes, especially the champion girls of the country, and considered these victories as a symbol of the will and growth of Iran's young generation.
Political and Military Consequences of the Defeat of the Zionist Regime
On the occasion of the anniversary of the historic epic of October 7, Ghalibaf analyzed the dimensions of the defeat of the Zionist regime and regarded it as a turning point in the history of the region. Quoting Imam Shahid, he described this defeat as irreparable and added that today, global public opinion has exposed this regime and weakened its capabilities.

The Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly continued: “The Zionist regime, which presented itself as a deterrent power, is now in a state of desperation and is seeking to compensate for its defeats.”
Conditions for the Reopening of the Strait of Hormuz
He also referred to the current state of relations between Iran and the United States and emphasized that as long as the seven conditions of the Islamic Republic of Iran are not met, the Strait of Hormuz will not be opened. Ghalibaf stated: “The Americans must understand that the era of dictating unilateral demands is over. The position of the Islamic Republic of Iran is completely clear and decisive.”
According to Ghalibaf, the Islamic Republic of Iran will not be influenced by rhetoric and military threats in any way and will simultaneously be present in both military and diplomatic arenas. He added: “Those who are victorious in negotiations must prepare themselves for war. Today, the Islamic Republic of Iran is at the peak of strength and field authority, and we will never allow the illusions of our enemies regarding Iran to materialize.”
