The first نور pilgrimage camp in Tehran was inaugurated by Mohammad Mehdi Hassan Zadeh, the head of the Basij Organization of Tehran Municipality. This program has been launched for the first time in the capital, focusing on the Basij Organization of Tehran Municipality during the Sacred Defense Week, and aims to recount narratives of resistance, sacrifice, and devotion from the heart of the capital's geography for the younger generation of the country.
Camp Programs and Key Locations
Mohammad Mehdi Hassan Zadeh stated: "This plan includes a series of key locations in Tehran that are linked to the defensive events and resistance of the people during recent wars. The dispatched caravans will visit these locations, participating in storytelling and explanatory programs to familiarize the audience with the human, social, and cultural dimensions of these events."

Familiarity with the Martyrs' Path and Visiting Martyrs' Graves
Hassan Zadeh added: "These camps are not limited to visiting specific sites; rather, storytelling, familiarization with the path of the martyrs, and revisiting the role of the people in defense and resistance form a significant part of this cultural movement. Our goal is for teenagers and youth to confront the tangible and field narratives of these events."
One of the final parts of this journey is the presence of the caravans in Behesht Zahra (S) and the visitation of the graves of martyrs from recent wars. At this location, participants will pay their respects to the martyrs and renew their commitment to their ideals, feeling a stronger connection between history, memory, sacrifice, and the social responsibility of today's generation.
Hassan Zadeh emphasized that the نور pilgrimage in Tehran is not just a temporary program limited to the Sacred Defense Week, noting: "This movement will continue until the end of the year, and various caravans from the regions and sectors under the Basij Organization of Tehran Municipality will join it as part of scheduled programs."
He highlighted the importance of this program, stating: "Our goal is to transfer the memory and legacy of the martyrs and the events that have shaped the security and tranquility of today's society into precise and impactful narratives for new generations. Tehran should become one of the main arenas for narrating resistance and sacrifice."
