The flood risk in the south of the country is felt with the continuation of showers. Fariba Goudarzi, a meteorological expert, reported the forecast of heavy rain showers accompanied by thunderstorms in areas of Hormozgan, southern Sistan and Baluchestan, southern and western Kerman, eastern Fars, southern and western Isfahan, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari, southwestern Yazd, Golestan, Gilan, Ardabil, and the heights of Tehran, Mazandaran, and Semnan.

Meteorological Warnings and Risks from Rainfall

Goudarzi said: "Showers in the Zabol region and southeast of the country may be accompanied by momentary gusts and dust storms." These showers, in the form of relatively heavy rain, thunderstorms, temporary strong winds, and the possibility of hail in northern and eastern Hormozgan, southern Kerman, and southern Sistan and Baluchestan, come with an orange-level meteorological warning. The risks of this warning include flooding, overflow of seasonal rivers, waterlogging of roads, and disruption of transportation.

In other provinces such as Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari, Gilan, Mazandaran, eastern East Azerbaijan, northern West Azerbaijan, and the heights of Tehran, Alborz, and Semnan provinces, a yellow-level meteorological warning has also been issued. The risks of this warning include the possibility of rising river water levels, waterlogging of roads, and temporary strong winds.

Goudarzi continued: "From Tuesday, a new rainfall system will enter from the west of the country. Initially, areas in the west and northwest of the country will experience rain showers, sometimes with thunderstorms and strong winds, and in the coming days, the range of rainfall will reach the center of the country." On Wednesday, scattered rain is also predicted in the northwest, eastern Caspian Sea shores, and some areas in the west of the country, and these rains will continue with varying intensity until the end of the week.

Additionally, the Caspian Sea, Persian Gulf, Strait of Hormuz, and Oman Sea will also be rough and turbulent. The increase in wind speed and wave height in coastal and offshore areas of Gilan, Mazandaran, and Golestan provinces, in the Caspian Sea, and in coastal and offshore areas of Hormozgan province comes with a yellow-level marine meteorological warning. The risks of this warning include the possibility of drowning swimmers and damage to small recreational and passenger boats.

In Tehran, a clear sky with occasional partial cloudiness is predicted, and there is a possibility of rain showers in the heights. The temperature fluctuations in the capital will be between 19 and 31 degrees, with a maximum temperature of 30 degrees on Tuesday and dropping to 29 degrees on Wednesday. Additionally, the average temperature in the country over the past week has increased by 2.8 degrees Celsius compared to the long-term period.
