Mehdi Pirhadi, the head of the Health Commission of the Islamic Council of Tehran, referred to the Chitgar Forest Park in the 441st council meeting and emphasized the necessity of addressing the demands and ambiguities raised. He said: "The mayor of District 22 has repeatedly requested to provide explanations regarding the actions taken in Chitgar. If such a request exists, he should be given the opportunity to attend the session to clarify the ambiguities; otherwise, we should invite Mr. Khosravi (the mayor of District 22) to the session for clarification."
Fundamental Actions for the Revival of Chitgar
Pirhadi also pointed out the questions and criticisms raised by Mr. Aghariyan, stating: "We must respect public opinion. It is not right for vague and general discussions to be published in the media without any response; someone must officially announce what fundamental and essential actions the Tehran municipality has taken in Chitgar."

The head of the council's health commission continued by referring to Engineer Chamran's visit to Chitgar and the root causes of past challenges, saying: "Due to the water crisis, there had previously been water outages in the park; because the water quota that should have been allocated by the Ministry of Energy had been cut off in recent years. A significant portion of these problems stemmed from decades ago; a time when no transfer network, reservoir, or treatment plant had been constructed in this area."
Transformation in Urban Management and Revival of Green Spaces
Pirhadi considered the achievements of the current urban management in reviving green spaces in Chitgar as fundamental and emphasized: "Today, for the first time since the revolution, a scientific and comprehensive plan has been prepared and approved with the participation of prominent professors and elites of the country for the forest parks. In this context and during this period, more than 30 kilometers of water transfer network have been established, a reservoir has been constructed, and a treatment plant has also been put into operation."
He continued: "These valuable actions are the result of a jihadist effort. The root of the problems lay in past negligence towards the transfer lines, but today the Tehran municipality has taken significant steps by implementing the comprehensive water and green space plan for the capital."
Pirhadi criticized the performance of the board in setting the council's agenda, noting: "In the current difficult conditions and under the shadow of inflation and threats, special attention must be paid to the spirit and hope of the community. Even in tough conditions, it is possible to work well; our question to the board is why hopeful issues and significant events happening in the city are not discussed in the council session? Even some council members are unaware of the volume of these actions."
He emphasized: "We must not allow the censorship of these actions and the limitation of the time for remarks to create an atmosphere of ambiguity and despair in the community. We ask the board to bring the reports from the departments to the session so that the actions taken can be clarified, and if there is no opportunity for discussion, at least the council president should explain these achievements to the citizens during inaugurations."
