The rain system is active in the country, and it is predicted that this situation will continue until Sunday. During this period, showers accompanied by thunder and lightning are expected in areas of West Azerbaijan, East Azerbaijan, Ardabil, Gilan, and several other provinces. These rains may lead to flooding in some areas and rising water levels in rivers.

Flood Warning and Weather Conditions

The meteorological expert of the country, Amin Hossein Naqshineh, announced that today, due to rain showers and strong winds, areas prone to dust storms and the possibility of hail will be affected. The provinces of Gilan, Mazandaran, western Golestan, Ardabil, East Azerbaijan, and West Azerbaijan are currently under a yellow weather warning. The hazards of this warning include the possibility of rising river water, surface runoff, lightning, and temporary strong winds.

Naqshineh also referred to the expected rainfall in the coming days and said: "On Friday, rain showers are predicted in some areas of the northwest and the southern slopes of Alborz, the Caspian Sea coast, Kerman, and the northern and mountainous regions of Hormozgan. Additionally, on Saturday and Sunday, rainfall will continue in some areas of the northwest and west of the country."

Hazards from Wind and Dust Storms

In the next three days, relatively strong to severe winds are predicted in the eastern strip of the country, which may lead to dust storms in susceptible areas. The provinces of South Khorasan and Sistan and Baluchestan are also at risk of reduced horizontal visibility and decreased air quality. These weather conditions may lead to falling objects from heights, damage to temporary structures, and breaking branches of weakened trees.

In the Persian Gulf, Strait of Hormuz, and Oman Sea, the weather is also unstable, and increased wind speed and wave height in these areas are accompanied by a yellow marine weather warning. This situation may pose risks such as drowning swimmers and damage to small recreational and passenger boats.

In Tehran, it is also predicted that wind speeds will increase in the afternoon hours, and scattered rainfall will occur. The temperature in the capital in the coming days will range between 23 to 25 degrees, and it seems that the average temperature in the country has increased by about 3.3 degrees Celsius compared to last week.
