Brigadier General Seyed Majid Ibn Al-Reza, head of the Ministry of Defense and Armed Forces Logistics, in a recent meeting with women in the country's defense industry, referred to the importance of women's roles in this field and its impact on the country's advancement. He commemorated the memory of the martyrs of the armed forces and the Ministry of Defense, emphasizing that the current progress in the defense industry is the result of the efforts of the scientists, engineers, and staff of this ministry.
Women, Half of the Country's Human Capacity
Brigadier General Ibn Al-Reza stated: "Today, every step we take to strengthen the country's defense capabilities is a continuation of the path of the men and women who sacrificed their lives for the dignity and security of the Islamic land." He pointed out the essential role of women in the defense industry and stated that without their participation, a complete narrative of this industry cannot be presented. Women, as half of the country's population, are one of the important and influential pillars of society, and their contribution to the country's developments is well recognized.

Social and Familial Roles of Women
Brigadier General Ibn Al-Reza also discussed the transformations in the social status of women in Iran's history and the role of the Islamic Revolution in this regard, stating: "One of the achievements of the Islamic Revolution was that Iranian women were able to maintain their valuable role in the family while also participating in various social arenas with their identity and capabilities." He emphasized that women are not only the targets of the development process but also serve as levers for advancing economic, social, and cultural goals.
He noted that in light of the recent war experience, the country's deterrent capabilities lie in the hands of the young scientists and researchers of the Ministry of Defense, who have enhanced the country's defense capabilities through the design and production of new systems. Brigadier General Ibn Al-Reza believes that the future of the defense industry is unimaginable without the serious presence and participation of women.
Development of Human Capacities and Innovation
The head of the Ministry of Defense also stated that we must identify the human capacities of the country and utilize them in the right direction, saying: "We are not looking to fill seats; we are looking to build the future, and to build the future, we need minds that can see what others have not yet seen." He emphasized the necessity of paving the way for women's presence in the defense technology and innovation ecosystem and announced special programs by the Ministry of Defense to attract and empower elite women.
Brigadier General Ibn Al-Reza concluded by stating: "Today, the enemy is more concerned about the speed of the growth of Iran's power than the existing power itself, and this concern will increase when they realize that the other half of the country's human capital, namely women, have also joined this path." He emphasized that Iran will not build the future solely with its men, and the women of this land also have a serious share in building power and security.
