Asad Salehi, a member of the High Council of Labor, announced the finalization of the 1405 wage, referring to a meeting scheduled for next week. In this meeting, the wage amount for the working community will be reviewed based on the inflation rate of essential goods and food items in the early months of the year.

Stabilization of the Worker’s Voucher and New Conditions

According to the resolution of the 341st meeting of the High Council of Labor, the "worker’s voucher" remained at 2.2 million tomans without an increase in the 1405 wage. The members of the High Council of Labor concluded that to ensure social justice and secure the livelihoods of workers, wages must be regularly reviewed. This decision is especially important in the current conditions where the inflation rate is rising.

Consequences of Wage Changes

Asad Salehi emphasized the importance of implementing Article 41 of the Labor Law, stating: "This article emphasizes that wages should be set according to the inflation rate and should be sufficient to meet the average living standards of a family." He also pointed out that the taboo of annual wage increases must be broken, and the High Council of Labor should act in a way that does not jeopardize the livelihoods of workers.

This representative of the working community in the High Council of Labor noted that given the current economic situation and the pressures from rising prices, it is essential that workers' wages are regularly and appropriately reviewed according to current conditions. Salehi expressed hope for the upcoming council meeting and urged worker representatives to actively participate in this regard.

In the next meeting of the High Council of Labor, worker and employer representatives will discuss and exchange views on determining wages. It is expected that after this meeting, tangible and significant changes in wage levels will occur, helping to improve the living conditions of workers.
