Arash Abbasi provided explanations about the status of the eighth season of 'Capital' and the reasons for the lack of progress in the stories. He stated that in recent months he has been in constant contact with Mohsen Tanabandeh, the long-time designer of the stories for this series, and they have proposed new ideas.
Continuous Communication and New Ideas
Abbasi, who is currently preparing a theater in Italy, stated: "We have reached several very good stories and unlike the previous season, due to having more time and freedom, we are not in a hurry." He also mentioned that even during his stay abroad, he has been in touch with Tanabandeh from afar and they have discussed various ideas together.

The Importance of the 'Capital' Brand
This writer emphasized the importance of 'Capital' for the production team, saying: "This series is a brand that has been around for at least 16 years, and we can hardly name another series that has lasted this long." Abbasi noted that the sensitivities of the production team regarding this project are much greater than others, and they are trying to work on various ideas as much as possible.
Abbasi further mentioned the progress of the stories for the eighth season, saying: "Whenever we are seriously asked, the screenplay writing will seriously start a few days later, and the story of the new season will come to fruition." He also referred to his ongoing discussions with Mohsen Tanabandeh and added that they have repeatedly discussed characters and events that could be used in the next season over the past year.
Possible Themes for the Eighth Season
Abbasi also mentioned that no specific story has been chosen as the main theme for the eighth season yet. He reminded: "In these two years since 'Capital' has been on air, the world and especially the country have been full of events, and all of these encourage one to go towards them and work."
In conclusion, Arash Abbasi emphasized that the 'Capital' project has not been suspended but is actively ongoing, and they have various ideas to work on. He expressed hope that for 'Capital 8', they can create an engaging and content-rich story through mutual brainstorming.
