Ali Asghar Kamalizadeh, CEO of the Tehran Municipality Renovation Organization, announced the relocation of over 1598 power poles across Tehran. These relocations are part of a four-year program aimed at resolving urban conflicts, which is being carried out in collaboration with executive agencies and the Tehran Municipality.

Identification and Organization of Power Poles

According to the information provided, at the beginning of this program, 2,828 power poles were identified and recorded, which had created restrictions for traffic in the city. Ali Asghar Kamalizadeh pointed out the challenges arising from the financial constraints of electricity distribution companies, emphasizing that the Tehran Municipality has taken on the main responsibility for implementing this plan.

The operation of relocating power poles is being carried out through 22 districts of the Tehran Municipality and is led by the Municipality Renovation Organization. This action not only helps to reopen streets but will also improve traffic and access in the urban fabric of Tehran.

Successful Performance of Various Districts

The CEO of the Tehran Municipality Renovation Organization referred to the performance of various districts in this project, stating: "District 17 has secured the top rank by relocating over 200 power poles. Additionally, District 12 has relocated over 100 poles, and districts 9, 16, and 13 have also made significant contributions to advancing this program." These successes reflect the cooperation and solidarity among the urban management team and the municipality districts.

However, Ali Asghar Kamalizadeh warned that there are still over 1200 power poles that restrict traffic in the city. The relocation of these poles requires government assistance and the provision of necessary funding. The identification and updating of the remaining poles' statistics are ongoing, and after completing this process, the final statistics will be announced.

Planning for the Future

The Tehran Municipality Renovation Organization is seeking to create greater coordination in this program by developing executive guidelines. Kamalizadeh emphasized the continuation of executive actions and cohesive planning for the relocation operations, expressing hope that with the provision of necessary funding, the remaining conflicts will soon be resolved. This action will significantly impact the improvement of urban life quality and facilitate traffic for citizens.
