Akbar Ekhtiari stated in a press conference about the status of Tehran's traffic cameras that almost all cameras are currently active and are sending data online. This news is particularly important for drivers and citizens who travel within the traffic plan areas.
Camera Updates for the Arrival of Mehr
Ekhtiari mentioned that special measures have been taken to update the cameras in honor of the Mehr welcoming committee. He added: "In case of outages in some areas, their infrastructure problems have also been resolved. Now over 90 percent of our cameras are sending data online." These updates allow drivers to be instantly informed in case of violations such as speeding or running a red light.

Instant Messages for Drivers
The CEO of Tehran Traffic Control Company emphasized that the online status of the cameras has made it possible to provide necessary feedback about vehicles entering the traffic plan area instantly. For example, if someone enters the traffic plan area without a reservation, a text message will be sent to inform them that they have until the end of the time to make a reservation.
This system not only facilitates traffic management but also helps reduce traffic violations. According to Ekhtiari, in the event of violations such as speeding, drivers are instantly informed. This indicates the online status of the cameras and the real-time transmission of information, which can help improve driver behavior and reduce accidents.
It seems that with these changes, citizens will feel more secure while driving, and offending drivers will be compelled to adhere to traffic laws due to increased monitoring. These measures not only help improve the city's traffic situation but can also lead to a reduction in accident statistics and traffic incidents.
