Fallahi, a member of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, made controversial remarks criticizing the human rights policies of the United States. He pointed to widespread human rights violations, racial discrimination, and violence against women in America, believing that this country lacks the moral and legal authority to evaluate the human rights situation in other countries.
America and Racial Discrimination
Fallahi continued his remarks by referring to the internal problems of America, stating: "How can a country that faces significant challenges of racial discrimination claim to defend global human rights?" He emphasized that racial discrimination in America has become one of the serious issues and significantly affects this country's credibility on the international stage.

Violence Against Women
The representative from Tehran also referred to the increase in domestic and social violence against women in the United States, stating: "Statistics show that women in America are constantly facing serious dangers. While this country struggles with these problems, it cannot be recognized as a defender of human rights in the world." He urged the international community to pay more attention to human rights issues in America and hold this country accountable for its repeated human rights violations.
Fallahi concluded by emphasizing: "As an independent country with a rich history, we must be able to express our views on human rights and support the facts before international institutions." These remarks come at a time when criticisms of America's human rights policies have increased in recent years, and many observers believe that this country should first address its internal problems instead of defending human rights.
