Seyyed Abolfazl Mousavi Pour, the head of Tehran's traffic police, announced in his recent press conference plans for the free distribution of helmets in front of schools. This initiative, known as "Helmet of Life," aims to enhance the safety of motorcyclists and reduce accidents in the city.

Challenges of Helmet Distribution

Seyyed Abolfazl Mousavi Pour emphasized during this meeting that despite the presence of nearly five million motorcycles in Tehran, the free distribution of five million helmets is practically impossible. This issue highlights serious challenges in implementing this plan. However, he explained that this idea will continue as a cultural and educational initiative and efforts are being made to bring this plan to the implementation stage by garnering cooperation from relevant organizations.

Formation of Traffic Status Room

Continuing this meeting, Mousavi Pour announced that to better manage traffic and provide more services to citizens, the traffic status room of Tehran will be formed from the beginning of Mehr with the presence of taxi and bus representatives. This room is created to examine and analyze traffic conditions and provide suitable solutions for reducing traffic problems in Tehran.

These actions are part of Tehran's traffic police efforts to improve traffic conditions and increase safety in the city. Mousavi Pour also spoke about future plans and initiatives of this organization to reduce traffic accidents and raise public awareness regarding traffic safety. He emphasized that alongside helmet distribution, appropriate cultural promotion must also take place in this area.

Additionally, this official referred to inter-organizational collaborations in this regard and expressed hope that with the participation of various groups, improvements in traffic conditions and reductions in traffic accidents can be achieved. Given the high statistics of motorcycle accidents in Tehran, this plan can be considered an effective measure to save citizens' lives.
