Abuzar Shahpari, the President of the National Elites Association, expressed his views on the status of the country's elites at a ceremony dedicated to honoring scientific and technological elites. He expressed concern that discussions about restricting the internet are still being raised in Iran, despite rapid global advancements in artificial intelligence.
The Necessity of Changing Approaches
Shahpari emphasized that one cannot compete with advanced countries using thoughts and approaches from the Stone Age, stating: "If we are to utilize the capacities of elites for the country's development, we must create an environment for their activity, innovation, and connection with modern technologies." He added that elites should be able to freely engage in various scientific and technological fields, which requires a change in attitudes and policies at different management levels.

He further emphasized that political, religious, and ethnic differences should not hinder cooperation and collaboration among elites. All individuals with scientific and specialized talents and abilities should be able to work together for the advancement of the country.
Shahpari also noted: "The goal should be to utilize all scientific, technical, and human capacities of the country, regardless of political orientation, religion, and belief, so that elites can play a role in the progress and prosperity of Iran."
Honoring Elites and Entrepreneurs
At the end of the ceremony, a number of inventors, scientific and technological elites, and exemplary entrepreneurs from various religious and ethnic groups were honored with trophies and elite medals. These honors were not only a sign of respect for the efforts of elites but also a means to motivate others to enter scientific and technological fields and strive for the country's advancement.
