Abbas Golroo, on Thursday morning, considered a strong and effective presence of international students in the province essential during a meeting to review the guidelines for interaction and providing services to international students in Semnan. He introduced the presence of international students as one of the scientific, economic, and cultural capacities of Semnan and stressed the need to manage and strengthen this capacity.

Managing Issues and Preventing Challenges

Golroo, referring to the actions of provincial officials, Semnan University, and military and law enforcement agencies in managing recent issues, emphasized the importance of identifying vulnerable points and preventing problems from arising. He said: "We must create the conditions for the continued presence of international students in Semnan by identifying vulnerable points and preventing issues from arising."

Proposal for a Trip to Baghdad to Strengthen Cooperation

This member of parliament also suggested that a delegation from the Ministry of Science and relevant officials travel to Baghdad to directly discuss the conditions for the continued presence of students with Iraqi officials and to talk about the continuation of scientific cooperation. Golroo further explained that the presence of international students is not just an academic capacity but can also have positive effects in economic, tourism, transportation, residency, and cultural interaction areas for Semnan.

He emphasized the need to organize services related to international students and reminded that those active in accommodation, currency exchange, and other services must be accurately identified and their activities managed so that the rights of students and the status of the city of Semnan are not affected.

Legal Oversight and Infrastructure Development

Golroo also called for legal oversight over service providers to students and stated that legal action should be taken against those who commit violations or create disturbances for international students. He deemed the development of the county's infrastructure in line with the capacity of international students as essential and clarified: "The development of the airport, transportation, urban services, and other infrastructures must keep pace with the increase in this capacity."

In conclusion, Golroo emphasized the necessity of continuously monitoring conditions, noting that managing issues before they occur can prevent the recurrence of similar events and create the conditions for preserving and strengthening the capacity of international students in Semnan.
