Abdolnaser Hemmati, the head of the Central Bank, elaborated on the latest actions of this institution for managing inflation and liquidity on Tuesday. Hemmati said: "With the Central Bank's serious control over the monetary base and the liquidity creation of banks, the year-on-year point-to-point growth has decreased from 54.4 percent in Mordad to 51.6 percent at the end of Shahrivar."
Efforts to Prevent Economic Turmoil
Hemmati continued his explanations by saying: "Enemies in the economic war hoped that by increasing liquidity growth and consequently continuing inflation growth, they could confront the country's economy with additional turmoil, but they will not achieve this result." He added: "The Central Bank, in coordination with relevant agencies, seeks to enhance economic growth while controlling liquidity growth by making banking facilities more efficient and increasing the use of chain financing tools."

Central Bank's Currency Policies
Regarding the Central Bank's currency policies, Hemmati stated: "With the brave resistance of the armed forces and the presence of the people on the scene, the U.S. and the Zionist regime could not achieve their goals through war. They have now entered the phase of economic warfare and targeted the financial sector and the currency market." He emphasized that the Central Bank will take any necessary actions to manage the currency market based on its legal authorities.
The head of the Central Bank concluded by emphasizing that this institution is determined to protect the country's economy against currency and inflation crises by using appropriate tools and collaborating with other institutions. Given the current conditions, these actions could play an important role in maintaining economic stability and preventing more serious crises.
