Alireza Zakani, the mayor of Tehran, in his latest statements announced the launch of a plan aimed at meeting the basic needs of households by stabilizing the prices of 12 essential goods for a duration of six months. This plan, designed under the title "Shahrzad," has been prioritized in the municipality's executive programs due to the intensification of the economic war by the United States against the Iranian nation.
Details of the Price Stabilization Plan
Zakani explained that the prices of 15 essential goods will be kept stable for six months. Out of these, 12 items will be available from October, and three other items will enter the market from November. This measure is designed to reduce the economic pressure on people and meet their basic needs.

Among the goods included in this plan are meat, oil, pasta, soy, legumes, dates, and sugar. The legumes also include five different items, contributing to the diversity of products. These 12 items have been selected based on the needs of families, with the main goal of ensuring people's livelihoods.
Inspired by the Leader's Guidelines
Zakani also referred to the guidelines of the martyr leader, stating: "Last year, when we were in the service of the martyr leader, he instructed the government to keep the prices of at least 10 essential goods stable for the people." These statements have been taken into account as the basis for designing and implementing the price stabilization plan, with the goal of alleviating the economic problems of the people.
The mayor of Tehran emphasized that the implementation of this plan has been defined as one of the necessary actions in Tehran, adding: "We decided to prioritize the livelihoods of the people and pursue this plan." According to Zakani, this plan can act as an effective measure to reduce economic pressure on households, and for this reason, its implementation has been emphasized.
Interestingly, this plan is being implemented at a time when many households are facing financial and economic challenges, and this action could bring hope for alleviating their livelihood problems.
