The National Meteorological Organization announced a yellow alert for rainfall and strong winds in 20 provinces of the country. This weather condition is particularly significant in East Azerbaijan, West Azerbaijan, Ardabil, Gilan, and Mazandaran, increasing the likelihood of flooding and damage to infrastructure.

Rainfall and Winds in 20 Provinces

According to forecasts, rainfall is expected today in areas of East Azerbaijan, West Azerbaijan, Ardabil, Gilan, Mazandaran, Golestan, Kurdistan, Kermanshah, Zanjan, Qazvin, Hamadan, Markazi Province, western Isfahan, the southern half of Kerman, and Sistan and Baluchestan, as well as the heights of Hormozgan. Winds will also be strong in these areas.

Perhaps the most important point in this alert is the intensity of the precipitation system in different provinces. West Azerbaijan, East Azerbaijan, and Ardabil are particularly at high risk of rising river waters and flooding of roads. These conditions may also lead to the creation of runoff and lightning, posing dangers to agricultural products and temporary structures.

Weather Forecast for the Coming Days

Kobra Rafiei, a meteorological expert, also mentioned upcoming rains, stating: "Rain is expected on Friday and Saturday in the northwest, west, southwest, central regions, and the southern slopes of the Alborz Mountains."

She also reported a relative increase in temperature in the northeast of the country on Friday and added: "From Saturday to Monday, a relative decrease in temperature is expected in the northern half of the country, especially in the coastal provinces of the Caspian Sea and Ardabil."

In addition to rainfall, relatively strong to severe winds in some parts of the country may cause problems such as dust and reduced horizontal visibility. This situation is particularly evident in the southern regions of West Azerbaijan, Kurdistan, Kermanshah, and Hamadan.

Marine Hazards and Related Warnings

The Caspian Sea and the Persian Gulf will also be rough and turbulent in the coming days. In these conditions, there is a risk of drowning for swimmers and divers, damage to fish farming cages, and disruption to maritime traffic. Therefore, caution in boat traffic and necessary restrictions on fishing activities are recommended.

Finally, Rafiei referred to the situation in Tehran, stating: "Strong temporary winds will become relatively severe at certain hours." Temperature fluctuations in Tehran will vary between 17 to 30 degrees.

This report also mentions an increase in the average temperature in the country over the past week, indicating that Alborz and Ilam provinces have experienced the highest temperature increases. In these conditions, attention to safety measures and taking necessary precautions to prevent damages is essential.
